Virtual Tour
Welcome to our very own virtual welcome page!
The current COVID-19 restrictions mean that we cannot invite you in to visit the school and get a feel of what school life is like. So.... we thought we'd bring the school to you! Whether you are looking to apply for a place in our Reception class for next September, relocating and considering joining us mid year, looking to start at our Nursery, or just want to have a good look at the school - this is the right page for you!
First, a welcome message from our previous Headteacher, Mr Newham (new video with our current Headteacher, Ms Izard coming soon) :
Now for the tour itself. We are delighted to have worked with Tony Crouchman, from www.vrrecce.co.uk to create a 360 degree virtual tour of our school.
The tour includes photographs, videos and narration from our Year 6 House Captains and allows you to guide yourself through every corridor and every room of the school.
The tour should work on all computers, laptops and smart devices. In order to navigate through the tour, you can move the screen (with mouse or touch screen) from side to side, up and down and get a 360 degree view of each area. Click away on any links (including photos, audios and videos) and take whichever route you like (below is a suggested route so that you don't miss anything). In the bottom left hand corner there is a 360 degree floor plan which allows you to see every room at a glance and click on the area you wish to go to.
To access the tour, please click below and enlarge to full screen (bottom left):
The full tour should take approximately half an hour, but you can obviously dip in and out and click to see as much or as little as you like. Our suggestion is to start in the main playground, taking in the stunning facade of the 1851 school building. Here you can watch an introductory video, showing different aspects of school life, before making your way to the main entrance and into the school foyer. Here you can watch a video including our youngest and oldest children and then make your way along the Key Stage 2 corridor, taking in the ICT Suite, Year 4, 5, 6 and 3 classrooms.
You can choose to either head out into the playgrounds (Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2) and see the field and forest school area, or you can go along the welfare corridor and make your way to Key Stage 1. Key Stage 1 consists of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and there are plenty of photos and videos in each classroom. Again, here you can go into the playgrounds and see the field, as well as visit our Nursery.
Finally, you should definitely visit the Hall, The Studio and the Library area. In the hall, you will see plenty of videos and listen to our House Captains tell you about all the different things we use it for. The Studio is our pride and joy, with our fully functioning Children's Kitchen - a video of a Year 6 child chopping herbs is just fabulous and shows the skills we teach our children when they are ready. In and around the library, we will also share our vision and values.
At this point you can return to the main entrance and see our Prayer Garden, the Meadow and Jesus Church.
Or you can do the tour in any order you want!
We hope you enjoy the tour and get a good feel of what our school is like!
