Forty Hill C.E. School

Forty Hill College

The Forty Hill College takes place one afternoon a week for Year 5 and 6 pupils. It seeks to broaden the children’s horizons by teaching them skills set out in the national curriculum but often not taught in the busy weekly schedule.

Our children are offered a range of ‘College Courses’ taught by our expert tutors designed to enthuse and engage them in areas that they may not have studied before. Courses include: Performing Arts, Cooking, Art, Sewing and Sport.

“The College has taught us skills that we wouldn’t normally learn in class. I wanted to try new things – I never thought I would learn how to sew at school!”

 Year 6 pupils

"I would like to take this opportunity in thanking you for organising such an amazing year of activities for the children.  My child has thrived from this experience in how he has applied the skills learnt from ironing his own polo shirt to helping me chop onions.  These are life skills that have been superseded by academic achievement, and I just want to acknowledge the gratitude we have in what our son has accomplished."  Year 5 parent
