At Forty Hill, we believe learning another language not only provides our children with an extra skill and prepares them for secondary school, but it has also been proven to improve memory, increase attention span and further develop better cognitive abilities.
Our Phase 2 classes (Year 3 – Year 6) are taught French using the Salut! programme of study, which is an interactive programme supporting the teachers to teach the French language using a variety of ways such as songs, stories, flashcards and games.
It is lovely to hear our children practising their French conversation skills with their peers and parents in and outside the school, and during our French day in the Summer Term.
