We
aim to serve the local community and we welcome children from not only Christian
families, but from other faiths and backgrounds.
We believe in providing a welcoming and secure environment in which Christian
beliefs and values are encouraged in the life of the school. Our shared aim
is to provide a positive, well-structured curriculum within a disciplined and
purposeful framework. We aim to develop the whole child: socially, physically,
academically, emotionally, spiritually and morally. In order to achieve this
the school strives to maintain a calm, happy, caring and stimulating atmosphere
in which the children can learn and develop.

We
strive to help pupils develop into knowledgeable, skilled, responsible and caring
adults. We value the diversity of our community and aim to work in partnership
with all its members.
We believe in the importance of developing positive attitudes to learning and
in teaching the basic skills of reading, writing, speech and numeracy so that
the children can access a wide variety of learning and develop the necessary
skills for reasoning and problem-solving.
We aim for children to be self-disciplined. Rules are few and they are underpinned
by the School Behaviour Policy. Classes work on class agreements at the beginning
of the school year which establishes a framework for conduct. The children are
encouraged to be aware of the safety and welfare of the whole school community.
