Forty Hill School was founded to serve the local community and we welcome children not only from Christian families, but from other faiths and backgrounds.

We have an open door policy which welcomes parents into the school and we encourage parents to make an appointment to see the school before making their decision about the school’s suitability for their child.

The number of children on the school roll at present is 262, being eight classes of thirty plus 22 children in our Nursery. From September 1999 the maximum number of pupils allowed in the Infant Classes must be no larger than 30, in line with DFE regulations.

Children may enter the Reception Class at the beginning of the academic year in which they are five. During their visit to the school, the Admission Procedure will be explained to the parents and they will be given a form to complete which will enable them to request that their child’s name be placed on the waiting list for the appropriate academic year.

In addition, it will be necessary to complete a Supplementary Information For Application Form by the middle of January of the year in which the child is expected to start school. This form should be returned to the school, but the Governing Body cannot accept responsibility for non-delivery and it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that the completed form must be submitted by the relevant closing date which will be decided annually.

Admission to the school will be determined by the Governing Body and is dependent upon the number of applications received and the admission criteria in place at that time, which are subject to an annual review. The current criteria are here.

The application forms for a Nursery Place and for entrance into Reception are below.  There is also a form for Mid-Year admissions. There are still places available for the Nursery 2016/17
